Safari with the San Classic Kalahari Safari and Cultural Experience
Overview of your Maun tour
This 3 day Classic Drive-in Package to Deception Valley allows you to experience the world of the San Bushmen of the Central Kalahari. They have lived in this region for over 20 000 years, and you can learn about their ancient culture. You will have a chance to interact with them and learn how they survive in this harsh landscape on your Botswana holiday. Interpretive bush walks and game drives are offered, where you will set off with the Bushmen guides. These excursions are a good opportunity to see the many animals that have adapted to living in this harsh landscape, including Gemsbok and Giraffe. This is one of the best places in Botswana to see Cheetah, and the Black-maned Kalahari Lion which can go for weeks without food and water.
Your Maun tour itinerary
Day 1: Maun - Central Kalahari On first day of 3 day Classic Drive-In to Deception Valley you will be transferred from Maun to Central Kalahari. You will settle in campsite, before heading out on afternoon game drive Day 2: Kalahari An early morning wake-up call followed by breakfast, after which you head out on morning game drive/bush walk, before day heat up. You can go exploring in wilderness with the San Bushmen - they will show you how they live in this desert environment and how they find food. Stop off in wilderness and enjoy refreshing drinks, while watching spectacular sunset, before continuing game drive. After morning activity, return to campsite and enjoy lunch, and relax. In afternoon have tea to sustain you through afternoon game drive. Return to camp for dinner under the brilliant stars Day 3: Kalahari - Maun On final day of 3 days Classic Drive-in to Deception Valley you have time for one last early morning game activity and breakfast. You will be transferred back to Maun before flight back
