Hi, my name is Kane and I’m your guide for the Daintree Rainforest. I'm a proud local of Cape Tribulation, what I believe is the the lushest corner of the planet! I’ve spent my life geeking out over every creature and leaf in the Daintree Rainforest. Seriously, I can talk about the tiniest bug or the tallest tree for hours, and I love sharing that knowledge, especially with the little explorers who get wide-eyed when they discover just how bizarre and beautiful nature can be. My brain is a sponge for all things rainforest and reef, and I’m on a mission to pass that passion on to everyone I meet. Beyond the trees and critters, I have a special bond to the local Kuku Yalanji people, whose deep understanding of the land and traditions has shaped my approach to conservation and storytelling. Their perceptiveness about the forest’s rhythms and the interconnectedness of all things has inspired me in countless ways, and I feel honored to carry forward their respect for this incredible place. When I’m not trekking through the rainforest, you’ll find me submerged in the deep blue of the Great Barrier Reef as a scuba diver. The underwater world is its own kind of mind-bending ecosystem, and diving has helped me connect with nature in a whole new way. Between the rainforests and the coral reefs, there’s so much magic waiting to be discovered. So, if you're into the weird, wonderful, and wild side of our planet, I’m your guy.

Bringing visitors to my home is always a special experience. It’s a place where two UNESCO World Heritage areas meet—the stunning Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef—and it’s hard not to be in awe of the natural beauty that surrounds us. Growing up in Cape Tribulation, I’ve witnessed the magic of this place, from the ancient rainforest to the crystal-clear waters. There’s a unique peace in sharing the untouched wilderness with others, and I love showing the extraordinary landscapes and wildlife that makes this feel like a true paradise. Driving into the Daintree I will share the fascinating history of the land and its plant evolution. Keep an eye out for crocodiles lurking in Noah Creek and Cassowaries with their chicks! We’ll make a pit stop at the Daintree Ice Cream Company, where you can try unique ice cream made from exotic fruits grown right on the property. Fruit I used to go picking when I was a child! Come join me for an unforgettable adventure!
Depending on your pick-up location we will roughly be driving 2 to 3 hours one-way and we will include lots of stops in between. We will see: - Daintree Rainforest - Mossman Gorge - Daintree Crocodile Cruise - Cape Tribulation Beach & Boardwalk - Daintree Ice Cream - Daintree Ferry
