Hi, my name is Kane and I’m your guide for the Daintree Rainforest. I'm a proud local of Cape Tribulation, what I believe is the the lushest corner of the planet! I’ve spent my life geeking out over every creature and leaf in the Daintree Rainforest. Seriously, I can talk about the tiniest bug or the tallest tree for hours, and I love sharing that knowledge, especially with the little explorers who get wide-eyed when they discover just how bizarre and beautiful nature can be. My brain is a sponge for all things rainforest and reef, and I’m on a mission to pass that passion on to everyone I meet. Beyond the trees and critters, I have a special bond to the local Kuku Yalanji people, whose deep understanding of the land and traditions has shaped my approach to conservation and storytelling. Their perceptiveness about the forest’s rhythms and the interconnectedness of all things has inspired me in countless ways, and I feel honored to carry forward their respect for this incredible place. When I’m not trekking through the rainforest, you’ll find me submerged in the deep blue of the Great Barrier Reef as a scuba diver. The underwater world is its own kind of mind-bending ecosystem, and diving has helped me connect with nature in a whole new way. Between the rainforests and the coral reefs, there’s so much magic waiting to be discovered. So, if you're into the weird, wonderful, and wild side of our planet, I’m your guy.

Join me on an unforgettable journey through Far North Queensland to Cooktown and the Daintree Rainforest. This is your chance to experience the raw beauty and deep cultural history of the region with a local guide! My family settled in the UNESCO World Heritage Daintree Rainforest over 4 decades ago. I'm proud to call Cape Tribulation my home and I believe it is one of the lushest corners of our planet. We’ll take a walk to the stunning Wujal Wujal Falls and I will talk about it's history and the meaning it has to the local Kuku Yalanji people. This site is a good example of how powerful nature can be. The severe impact of Cyclone Jasper from December 2023 can be seen until today. We will cruise along the famous 4WD Bloomfield Track looking out for any Cassowaries and other wildlife. Along the way, we’ll stop at the iconic Lions Den Hotel and wander through the peaceful Cooktown Botanical Gardens. Trust me, this is a day you won’t forget, filled with adventure, nature, and culture. Let’s make it happen!
Depending on your pick-up location we will roughly be driving 3 to 4 hours one-way and we will include lots of stops in between. We will see: - 4WD Bloomfield Track - Daintree Rainforest & Beaches - Daintree Ferry - Lions Den Hotel for lunch! - Cooktown Sightseeing - Cooktown Botanic Gardens - James Cook Museum
