Hello and welcome to Brisbane, I am Roger! As a world traveler you will be very glad you added Brisbane to your bucket list. Whether you love parks and gardens, culture and history, the great outdoors, or an intimate exploration by foot, you have found the right person to fulfill your dream outcome in Brisbane. I moved to Brisbane in the year 2000, having lived previously in Melbourne, Canberra, Perth and Sydney. I fell in love with Brisbane and on retirement made the easy decision to make Brisbane my permanent home. I have experienced the rapid growth of The River City from a large country town into a diverse, world-class city. Affectionately known to locals as "Brisy" or "Brisvegas", the Brisbane region is now bristling with excitement. Massive infrastructure development is preparing South East Queensland to host the Olympic Games in 2032. On retirement, I established a quality B&B in my home with a 5. 8 star rating for six years. I thoroughly enjoyed hosting guests from every continent. I am a part-time Uber driver, know the city, suburbs and surrounds very well, and love meeting people from around the globe. I have traveled to more than thirty countries and am completely at home with friends from other cultures. I also revel in the international flavour of my family with children married to an Englishman, an American and a Brazilian. Sign up for one of my tours today. Personalized attention is my signature. Just imagine the beautiful life-time memories we will create together. - Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. - Commercial Pilots LIcence - Degree in Theology from the Alliance College of Theology, Canberra. - Masters Degree in Leadership from Moody Graduate School, Chicago, USA. - Doctor of Divinity, Taccoa Falls College, Georgia, USA - Pastor for thirty six years - Booked Hire Service Licence. - Senior Trainer, International Training Alliance. Brisbane, the laid back capital of Queensland, is located between the famous Gold and Sunshine coasts. It boasts stunning natural assets under clear blue skies. In 1984 the Brisbane City Council made an inspired decision to resurrect the south bank for World Expo 1988. This insured that Brisbane would emerge as a vibrant world-class city. The Southbank Parklands boasts spectacular riverfront views, sprawling lawns, a blossoming arbour, and a host of other fascinating sights and sounds. This former industrial sight was transformed to host the World Expo in 1988. Since then the site has undergone total transformation to become the iconic green space it is today. You will hear interesting behind-the-scenes stories about the park's design and evolution as we wander through picturesque pathways. Our walk will start at the Epicurious Garden end as we meander along the river front through the Cultural Precinct to the State Library and the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA). I can customise this tour at your request.

This is a walking and ferry tour. From your ship, hotel or airport you will travel in my air-conditioned Toyota Corolla Cross SUV enjoying scenic views of the river towards Southbank, including spectacular city skyline panorama from Kangaroo Point. If your group is larger than 4 people I can arrange a larger vehicle at modest additional cost with capacity up to 11 people. This arrangement requires 5 days advance notice.
