Private & Custom touring in & near Bariloche and Nahuel Huapi National Park is my favorite since the 1995s. Touring is my profession and passion, for first-timers, returners, and locals. I've lived in and around Bariloche since 1990. Originally from Buenos Aires, so I'm a Porteña in Patagonia. Part of my family is English and during my childhood I attended English schools in Buenos Aires. So. . bilingual Spanish English. I have been working as a licensed tour guide in Bariloche Argentina for twenty years. Most often with clients from English-speaking countries. I understand what it takes to satisfy the modern traveler, with their very different needs and interests. This is why I can help to custom-designs to fit client's myriad desires and budgets. Whether you're a photographer, a hiking enthusiast, a vegetarian or a bird-watcher, I can design a tour that is right for you. Learn about our special Argentinian drink "mate", trying the famous "Dulce the Leche" and many more interesting things you'll learn with the experience of talking with a local professional. Whether it's a boat tour to Lake Nahuel Huapi, fishing, horse-riding or kayaking trips around Bariloche or getting into the Rural Patagonia, the real life and the way people have been adapting to living in this geographical areas… I will tailor your tour to be in line with what you want to do and see, making certain that your experience is informative and fun. I love to include in my tours not only information about history, geography, flora and fauna, but also about people, our culture, the food we enjoy and our dreams and desires. I have been working as a licensed professional tour guide for 15 years. My license includes the National Park Nahuel Huapi, the city of Bariloche, the Lake District and the ski resort "Cerro Catedral". I have also worked for the boat trips, specially the catamarans and the tour that connects with Chile "the Crossing of the Lakes". If you can, tell me the time you are planning to visit Bariloche, so i m sure im here! I stared working guiding all over Patagonia and im sometimes away from home! My car can fit up to 2 people comfortably. Please inquire for larger groups. I don't have restrictions in regard to my guiding. I can Guide in Museums, I have a license to give tours in National Park Nahuel Huapi and Arrayanes. I'm also a Licensed driver.

Overview of your Bariloche tour

The mountains in the patagonian steppes are lower in altitude, they transform into a colorful range of reds, greens and browns. The flowers and vegetation in this area speak about how hard it is to live in this windy frozen or very warm Patagonia. Traces of the animals, as well as Condors, are going to be just in front of us to try to understand their adaptations to this harsh way of living. The families who live here will Welcome Us, under a program being held by the state of Rio Negro, called Cultura Rural Patagonica. With the idea of giving an extra income to the families but also the chance to be proud of their work, their legacy and allowing the younger ones to stay to work in their land and not move to far away cities! It's a very rich experience that can be combined with a soft hike and shared tea moment prepared by the local family.

Your Bariloche tour itinerary

We leave the City of Bariloche towards the East side of National Park Nahuel Huapi, and after a 40 minute drive we arrive to the homes of the family who will greet us. On the way we stop at beautiful panoramic views to city of Bariloche, Lake Nahuel Huapi and Andes mountains. The main activities of the families have to do with sheep farming, knitting, and green house. Which we can help doing on visit day! A soft hike will introduce us to the landscape, its fantastic views and different flora and fauna to explore. Some families are being helped by the Argentinian state with a program to learn how to receive visitors and share or show there daily life. It's a very rich experience that is combined with a lunch prepared by the local family. The aim of this program is the visit of the family, the cost of receiving us has a pricing elaborated by them. It's important that the visitors pay to them directly, as a way to give importance to their jobs.
