Guide #42044
My name is Motlatsi: I have been in the tour guide sector since 2006. I have a strong background in Electronics and Information Technology (IT), having been train in the United Kingdom in Electronics and IT training in South Africa. Spent most of the time in customer service providing technical and software support. Have been travelling to several countries both on my IT business and on tours during family vacations. This is where the interest for dealing with tourists came about. Then in 2006, 2007 and 2009 I attended several training programs in tour guiding. Since then I have had tourists from all over the world. Notably from, USA, South America, UK, Germany, Philippines, Singapore, New Zealand, Georgia, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden, China, Indonesia, several African Countries, etc. For me this is the most fulfilling work I have ever done all my life. I get to meet people with different cultural backgrounds, different personalities. It makes me more of a human being than anything. What I like most is dealing with small groups, like family or a few friends as it gives me an opportunity to provide a personalized service. I got training by Drum Beat Academy in South Africa in 2007 and qualified as a Nature Guide for the areas of Freestate Province and the Kingdom of Lesotho. Accredited as guide by the Freestate Government - Registration No. FS0045. Also received training in 2009 at SATSA (Southern Africa Tourism Services Association). My vehicle is not wheelchair friendly, but I can hire one if you let me know at least two weeks in advance.

He’s a dedicated, knowledgeable guide, from whom we learned a great deal about Lesotho. He’s also an excellent safe driver. We started with a tour in and around Maseru. Motlatsi even drove us past the best choices for restaurants so that we...

Thank you very much Sara for the kind comments. You made the tour very special with your enthusiasm right from the beginning. You and Jadwiga were a joy to host indeed as you were fully engaged with the points I highlighted. Wish you all the best in your future tours and endeavors
A terrific tour. Motlatsi is an excellent guide, professional, personable and very insightful on Lesotho and its people. This tour included several places in the “Tentative UNESCO World Heritage Site of Basotho” and it was very easy to understand why it was included on that list. Everything listed on the itinerary was accurate, the drive was very comfortable, and it was...

What a day it turned to be! I am really humbled by your commendation. Thank you for the wonderful day out in the beautiful scenery.

Motlatsi speaks perfect English which is always a plus when you’re traveling off the beaten path. I spent 2 days with him and he showed me interesting things in his beautiful country. Don’t miss the Maletsunyane waterfall! I almost did, thinking ho-hum, it’s just another waterfall… but the highest single-drop waterfall in Africa (630’ cascade) is hardly routine! The...

Highly appreciate your warm comments Ann. I enjoyed sharing the knowledge about the country as much as you enjoyed absorbing it. It was a fantastic time taking you around the Kingdom in the Sky. Wish you everything of the best until next year!
