Guide #525
I am deeply passionate about the history and culture of Honduras, particularly the stories of its people. Originally from Copán, I hold a degree in Sociology and History and have spent the past 22 years working with both tourism and non-profit organizations. During this time, I’ve had the privilege of hosting over 600 missionary teams who have brought much-needed relief to the country. I truly enjoy sharing my knowledge, and nothing pairs better with meaningful conversations than a specialty cup of Honduran coffee — I even know the best spots where it’s brewed to perfection! In my downtime, I love cooking, watching movies, exploring pop culture, birdwatching, and hiking. For me, there's something magical about taking a break after a countryside hike, resting in a hammock, and enjoying freshly ground coffee with handmade tortillas, fried beans, and cheese. It’s these simple yet soulful moments that capture the essence of Honduras. As an avid traveler, I’ve explored nearly every country in Central America, as well as Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Peru, and Paraguay in South America. My journeys have also taken me to the United States, visiting charming Charleston, historic Washington D.C., vibrant New York City, and serene Toronto and Vancouver in Canada. In Europe, I’ve walked the Camino de Santiago in Spain and spent time in Germany and France, experiences that enriched my perspective and appreciation for different cultures. Honduras holds a special place in my heart, and I believe it can surprise you with its beauty, simplicity, and warmth, just as it has done for me countless times. --- PLEASE NOTE: While I do my best to ensure that my availability is up-to-date at all times, due to my heavy workload (especially during the peak travel season), my availability may be subject to change at very short notice.
