Hannah our guide was very caring and knowledgeable about the area. It was a very hot and humid but Hannah was able to take the effects into consideration and we really enjoyed ourselves. The driver was excellent and we recommend the day trip.
I loved visiting Ninh Binh with Hannah! It was a day full of activity. On the drive to Ninh Binh, Hannah gave me lots of information on Vietnam history and culture and pointed out interesting landmarks. Once we arrived, we did climb the 500 stone steps to the summit of Mua Caves. It was a bit challenging, but not out of reach for a reasonably healthy person. The views at the top were beautiful. After that we took a pleasant, easy bike ride along a paved path through a more rural area. Lunch was delicious, and Hannah made sure I could get a vegan meal at the restaurant, even though I failed to let her know my diet in advance. The 90-minute Sampon boat ride was beautiful. It was lovely to see the mountain goats and the many birds that Hannah pointed out. We went under the roofs of three small caves, and I enjoyed seeing the many rock formations. All in all, it was a great day - we did so much, and I loved it all! Thank you Hannah!
Hannah is an amazing guide! We had a wonderful time on our day trip to the Ninh Binh area. Hannah was very informative and had everything planned out perfectly. The itinerary was great, though we did not do the biking part as one of us was under the weather. (Hannah kindly walked us through a pharmacy in Vietnam, too). I will definitely contact her again when I return to Hanoi. I highly recommend Hannah; you should book her tour too!
Hannah was absolutely delightful and very informative. Could not have asked for a better guide (and the 3 of us have had ~ 100 guides in our many years of extensive travel). Hannah's English was very good; she was able to understand and answer our questions as well as provide us with details that we could understand. Hannah went SO far above and beyond in assisting us in finding some items that we needed. As our 1st day in Vietnam we appreciated someone that spoke the language helping us the items.
08:00: Get picked-up at your hotel 08:30: Head out on the drive to Ninh Binh province 10:00: Arrive at the ancient capital of Hoa Lu Visit Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel with Dinh King Temple dating back to the 17th Century. 12:00 - Enjoy the lunch at our restaurant with the great local cuisines. 13:30: Take sampan boat trip which owned and rowed by locals, gently sailing along Ngo Dong river, capturing the wonderful scenery of Karst hills, rice fields, and peaceful villages, and passing "Hang Ca", "Hang Hai" and "Hang Ba". 15:30: Bike around countryside villages. On the way, we visit "dancing cave", the one you normally miss in classic tour. The cave is a perfect location to enjoy the spectacular landscape of Ninh Binh (If biking is not your favourite activity, you will be escorted by car to Mua Cave and start an amazing trek up to the top of Ngoa long mountain for watching the spectacular rice valley with sprecious view of the nature. ) 17:30 - Return to our private car and then come back to Ha noi.
