Abu Dhabi through the eyes of an Emirati Guide

We had an absolutely wonderful day with Huda in Abu Dhabi. I was looking for something quite specific: not simply a sightseeing tour, but a real introduction to the history, culture and people of Abu Dhabi and the UAE. Huda was exactly the guide I was hoping to find. She is extremely knowledgeable, but what made the experience so special was the personal and sensitive perspective she brought as an Emirati herself. She shared not only historical and cultural information, but also her own perspective on her country, its traditions and the extraordinary changes it has experienced. This made our conversations particularly interesting and meaningful. We are very curious travellers and asked her countless questions throughout the day! Huda answered them with patience, openness and great insight, and managed to keep us captivated from beginning to end. We finished the day together at a traditional Emirati restaurant, sharing a meal and continuing our conversation. It was a wonderful way to end what felt much more like a genuine cultural encounter than a conventional guided tour. Huda is warm, intelligent, thoughtful and passionate about sharing her culture. If you want to go beyond the usual tourist experience and gain a deeper understanding of Abu Dhabi and Emirati culture, I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Our tour with Huda was very interesting and fun at the same time. Huda showed us around the major sights, and also took us to her favourite shop at the date market for some local flavours. Huda is extremly knowledgeable and answered all our questions in great detail. We learned a lot about the history, culture, and society of Abu Dhabi. We had the absolute pleasure of spending the day with Huda, and she was an outstanding guide from start to finish. She picked us up directly from our hotel (Mandarin Oriental) and immediately made us feel welcome with her warm personality and humor. Our first stop was the Heritage Museum, where we gained a fascinating insight into the culture and traditional housing of the former inhabitants. From there, we continued to Museum Island, the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, and finally the Presidential Palace. Throughout the entire tour, Huda impressed us with her deep knowledge and passion for Abu Dhabi’s history and culture. She also shared special stories and insights that only a true local could provide, which made the experience even more memorable. . We had a wonderful day and can wholeheartedly recommend Huda as a guide for anyone visiting Abu Dhabi.

Huda provided an excellent introductory tour of Abu Dhabi. We especially appreciated the social, religious, and political insights into the Abu Dhabi culture she shared with us.
