Hello travellers! I have been organizing stays and tours in my beautiful country Senegal for more than 4 years. I am organized and passionate about this job. I am an eternal optimist. I believe that we, as human beings, are capable of bringing positive change to the world. Whenever people see me, they can't help but notice my smiling face. You may wonder why I walk around, exhibiting such a cheerful attitude. It's because I have hope that we can collectively solve social issues by sharing knowledge, traveling and understanding social differences and supporting each other; more importantly, I believe that tourism is that sustainable tool to create a more just, peaceful, and eco-friendly society. With my tours, I will make you discover the most beautiful places of Senegal. Please, contact me so that we can organize the best of your stay. -Master degree in Cultural Studies at the University of Gaston Berger. -Working as a tour guide - Independent researcher and consultant for businesses and organisations. -Local guide for foreign researchers and tourists. Langue de Barbarie National Park is where nature's symphony of sights and sounds awaits! Nestled just twenty kilometers south of Saint-Louis in Gandiolais, this sanctuary stands as one of Senegal's six national parks. "La langue" means tongue in English, and it's born from the meeting of the Senegal River with the Atlantic Ocean, the "tongue" represents a long strip of sand, a cord of dunes absolutely fascinating! Established in 1976, Langue de Barbarie spans 2000 hectares of delicate ornithological reserve, a haven for migratory birds from April to October. Picture yourself amidst a kaleidoscope of flamingos, pelicans, cormorants, and more. As you explore the park's diverse landscape, you'll encounter sandy beaches teeming with sea turtles, and dunes adorned with casuarina trees standing tall against the coastal breeze. Join me on a journey of discovery, where every step unveils a new marvel, and every moment is a chance to connect with nature's timeless beauty.
Full Day Tour! Departure in the morning at 9:00 from your hotel in Saint-Louis to reach the entrance of the Langue de Barbarie National Park. Visit to Bird Island to observe Caspian and Royal Terns, Grey-headed Gulls, Pelicans, Brown Gulls, and sometimes a few flamingos. Stop for swimming on the beach facing Bird Island. Return to Saint-Louis (or lunch at the lodge and return in the late afternoon). For a personalized quote or any special request, please let me know to provide you with a customized offer. "
