Starting in the historic centre, we'll follow the scenic paths of Villa Sassetti, climbing through lush vegetation and enjoying beautiful views over the town and surrounding hills. Our journey continues to the impressive Moorish Castle, where ancient walls offer spectacular panoramas over Sintra, the forests and the Atlantic Ocean. From there, we'll enter the magnificent Pena Park, a masterpiece of Romantic landscape design filled with exotic trees, winding paths, hidden corners and tranquil lakes. Along the way, I'll share stories about Sintra's history, architecture and landscape, helping you understand why this small mountain became one of Europe's most extraordinary cultural destinations. The guided tour ends inside Pena Park, allowing you to continue exploring at your own pace if you wish. Perfect for travellers who enjoy walking, nature, history and breathtaking scenery.
Ana is a splendid guide. Very knowledgeable, provided incredible historical, architectural and social context to our visit to Sintra, with Pena Palace, Moors Castle amd Quinta da Regaleira. In addition she took us to a wonderful hike in the Sintra gardens. She has such a great energy and disposition, which made our day even more unforgettable. Strongly recommended!
Ana was incredible. She braved the rain and wind to make sure we received an amazing tour of Sintra. She was incredibly knowledgable on all aspects of our tour from the particulars of the flora and fauna on our hike up to the castle to details of history of the site. When we were touring you could see that people were trying to listen in because she made everything interesting. It is clear she has a passion for her work and for Portugal. We highly recommend her.
