Jorge was an excellent tour guide with great knowledge of not only the Algarve region but Portugal in general. Jorge will not only show you the well travelled towns and beaches, that are loaded with tourists and make this region so popular, but also the inland hills and villages most people don't see. Jorge is a great guy, on time, and very flexible. I highly recommend him.
We toured the eastern Algarve on one of the three days that we spent in the Algarve with our guide Jorge. Jorge is very knowledgable of the history and current situations and so was able to give us a deep understanding of the area. We passed through beautiful small towns. In the town of Loule we enjoyed the indoor farm market. We also visited a beautiful winery. We especially appreciated the natural environment. We appreciated Jorge's safe driving and concern for comfort. We recommend Jorge's tours.
Wonderful guide. Wonderful tour. Jorge took us through the eastern Algarve for a full day. We were enriched by lots of history of the region and of each city. We were taken to special locations that we could never have found on our own. He spoke perfect English. Jorge was sensitive to our wishes and needs. He took us to a terrific restaurant for lunch. His van was very comfortable for 6 of us. Outstanding experience!
We had a wonderful experience on this tour with Jorge. He took us off the beaten path, as well as making well-known attractions more meaningful and accessible. We had toured the western part of the Algarve with Jorge a few days before, and we are so glad that we also did the Peaceful Algarve tour. The eastern end is really special - quieter, less developed, and very beautiful. We enthusiastically recommend both tours.
Jorge was the consummate professional during our tour—knowledgeable, affable, and just plain nice. The tour was everything we wanted. We saw the Algarve where locals live and work, away from the din of tourism, and right into the heart of the area. What took one day with Jorge would have taken at least four or five days on our own. Please consider him a vital resource of the Algarve because he truly is.
Jorge is a super guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Algarve area. We toured many towns, from active to peaceful. Marinas to markets and lunch at an amazing farm to table restaurant. He is very flexible and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure our day was amazing.
