Olden - Briksdal Glacier - Loen Skylift

On the road to Briksdal Glacier National Park, you can admire the fairy-tale atmosphere of winding roads surrounded by majestic high mountains with tongues of glaciers, countless waterfalls and turquoise lakes. Once you reach the Briksdal Visitor Centre, you will board a small open-air buggy called the Troll Car, which will take you to the upper deck, closer to the Briksdal Glacier. Be one with nature by walking up to the glacier and photographing its many shades of blue and turquoise, then return to the troll car and head back to the cafe for coffee and Norwegian pastries and perhaps do a little shopping in the souvenir shop. At our next destination we will take the fastest and most enjoyable hike to the Mount Hoven lookout point. The Loen Skylift takes you there just as beautifully, but less tiringly. Only 5 minutes and you are 1000 meters above sea level, offering the best views of Nordfjord and the villages of Olden and Loen.
