There are 2 famous lakes in Antsirabe, the most popular one is a volcano lake, located 22km from Antsirabe, called Tritriva lake. The second one is Andraikiba lake, located 7 km from Antsirabe.

When we visit these lakes, you can meet people who sell minerals around the lake; you can buy some minerals stones from them for souvenirs.

When you hike around the Tritriva lake, the local guide will tell you the story of two lovers who committed suicide in the lake. The story of those two lovers is similar to the story of Romeo and Juliette.

Andraikiba lake supplies the running water to be used in Antsirabe city.

The exhumation or the returning of the bones of the body dead takes place every 3 or 5 or 7 years within a family. This event happens from August until mid-October along the year. You will have the opportunity to attend it when you are in Antsirabe from August to October.

This tour allows you to learn about how the Malagasy people respect their traditional custom and why the Malagasy people still keep doing this culture until now.

If you want to attend this special event, I will introduce you to the family organizer and you will be their special guests.

Cooking class session which often takes place in my home and presented by 4 different specialists ( 4 chefs).

This tour allows you to know how to prepare and cook the following foods:

1-Sambosa and local rhum cocktails, to be served as a starter
2-Ravitoto with zebu meat to be served as a main course
3-Chocolate cake to be served as dessert
And 4- Rhum arrange Tycadeau for our toast

You interact and immerse yourself with the chefs during the preparation and the cooking and then we enjoy together our hard-earned dinner with the chefs.

I will give you a toast Tycadeau at the end of our dinner

After the tour, 4 files will be sent to your email address which contains the full instructions to make these special dishes therefore; you can make them once you get back home.
