I'm a so happy to present myself - I'm a licensed guide in Venice and especially I'm local… yes I'm a local Venetian who was born and lived in this unique city for 29 years. Now I live in a city nearby only 20 min by bus but my heart is still in Venice. I have the history degree from Ca'Foscary the university in Venice and I'm offering my knowledge with simplicity and fun to tourists enjoying them a lot. I love this guide work and it's a big honor to explain with passion and love Venice to tourists, I like to do tours in the main areas such as San Mark's square and its beauties as doge's palace and San Mark's basilica but I can guide in other "hidden" and not usual places from Rialto to Marco Polo's area where he was born and lived. I can show to you the Jewish ghetto and other interesting places in this unique city. Venice is so different from other cities in the world and you will like for sure and during my tours I will show to you these with all my passion and you will feel inside of you. So now i'm waiting for your bookings for one of my tours, you can choose and you will like and enjoy with me. Alessandro is waiting for you. Thanks a lot! I've a history degree from Ca'Foscari university; I'm a licensed guide in Venice. I’m not a taxi driver. I do especially walking tours in Venice. I have a lot of contacts of taxi drivers in Venice anyway

Let's discover Venice and the history of San Mark's square! This is still today the main important area of Venice and since I was a child I really liked to walk near the famous monuments. With my family I went often inside the Doge's palace and I imagine how many things happened there. . . i've got the history degree and I was so proud to enter inside! At Doge's Palace, we will tour the outside and inside - this was the Government's place of business for 1000 years. You will see the famous "rooms of power" from where Venice once governed the city and its big republics and colonies (in the Mediterranean Sea and northern Italy). You will see the paintings in the different rooms and learn about some of their history. You will see the prisons and will cross the famous Bridge of Sighs. At San Mark's Basilica you will go inside and will have the opportunity to see some of the 8500 mq of mosaics, made by important artists and workers in centuries with love and passion.
- You will be given an overview of Venice and the history of San Mark's square. - Then we will go to Doge's Palace, to tour the outside and inside - with skip the line tickets - We will have 10 minutes of free time (bathroom/coffee break) before heading to San Mark's Basilica. - We will go inside with skip the line tickets and will have the opportunity to enjoy inside. - We will end with a nice glass of Prosecco or what ever you like in a small bar nearby. Tour can be customized according to your wishes, please enquire.
