Hello and welcome! My name is Romy, and I am a licensed tour guide born and raised in Venice. Growing up between Piazza San Marco and Rialto — the historic, political and symbolic heart of the city — has given me a deeply rooted understanding of Venice that combines lived experience with academic expertise. I hold two degrees from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, including a Master’s Degree (summa cum laude) in Art History and Conservation of Cultural Heritage. I am currently pursuing advanced studies in Theological Hermeneutics of Christian Art in Florence, specializing in the interpretation of sacred space and its symbolic language. For many years I have guided private travelers, families, academic groups and culturally oriented visitors from around the world. I am particularly accustomed to working with discerning clients who seek depth, clarity and a thoughtful, well-structured experience rather than a superficial overview. My tours are private, flexible and fully customized to your interests, pace and schedule. Whether your focus is art, history, architecture, religion, or the broader civilization of the Venetian Republic, I aim to present Venice in a way that is both intellectually meaningful and deeply engaging. As a native Venetian, I can also introduce you to perspectives that are often missed — quieter neighborhoods, historical context, and the subtle details that reveal how the city truly functioned and still lives today. With me, Venice is not simply shown; it is interpreted and experienced. I work comfortably with first-time visitors as well as with repeat travelers who wish to go beyond the main sights and explore the city in a more reflective and authentic way. I am happy to collaborate with travel advisors, agencies and tour operators, and to design itineraries tailored to specific themes, time constraints or special requests. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, reliable and passionate guide who combines local insight with scholarly preparation and a calm, personal approach, I would be delighted to share my city with you. I look forward to welcoming you to Venice. - Summa cum Laude Master Degree in History of Arts and Conservation of Artistic Heritage, Cà Foscari University, Venice. - Summa cum Laude graduation in Anglo-American and Hispano-American Languages and Literatures, Cà Foscari University, Venice. - Currently studying Theological hermeneutics of christian art, Facoltà Teologica dell'Italia Centrale, Fi. - Accredited Tour Guide License n. 08000879 (n°184, RA.) - Tour Guide insurance: AXA 406271056. Being an accredited Tour Guide I have no restriction.

Being born and bred in St. Mark's district this amazing area has no secrets for me and, believe me, it hides some superb jewels! Imagine climbing up to St. Mark's bell tower (with an elevator!) where you will enjoy the most amazing view on Venice and its amazing roofs, chimneys and lagoon, a view that you won't ever forget! No queue with my special skip-the-line tickets! We will then proceed to discover this marvelous area, you will admire a church with the most celebrative facade in Venice, Campo San Maurizio, Campo santo Stefano -one of the widest of Venice-! You will see one of the biggest Venetian palaces, one of the oldest church of Venice, and I'll tell you about the erection of the Accademia bridge. Imagine seeing a huge monastic church with its aps built on a bridge, the Opera House and a "Scoletta". . . then marvel at an amazing external winding staircase. You will see where two churches were before the napoleonic demolition, then a "Scuola Grande" and the house of the last of the Venetian Doges.
- Stop 1: Introduction to St. Mark's Square and climb at the top of the bell tower of St. Mark - Stop 2: Pass the Napoleonic Wing and enter Via XXII Marzo - Step 3: Santa Maria del Giglio, San Maurizio and Santo Stefano - Step 4: Campo San Vidal and San Samuele - Stop 5: Campiello dei Morti, Campo Sant'Angelo, and La Fenice Opera House - Stop 6: Rio Terà degli Assassini, Campo Manin and the Scala del Bovolo - Stop 7: San Luca, San Salvador, Rialto and Campo San Bartolomeo - End tour: we will end either in Campo Santo Stefano where you may have some "Cicheti" (appetizers) in a local "Bacaro" (a typical venetian Bar), or in Campo San Lio where you can have a coffee or a hot drink and some amazing pastries in a fabulous pastry shop.
