This was a great tour. She worked around less than perfect weather to keep us fed and dry. Having someone local on hand your first day at the destination really helps getting things going. Thanks so much

If you enjoy food and wine is always a great day! Taste with your private guide and great foodie the best cichetti of Venice. Let's eat and drink as a local Venetian do: try our best cichetti, food and local wine during a typical bacaro experience. Join a gastronomic experience as local do! We'll visit my favourite eateries in Venice, learning how to find great food and wine. Let's avoid tourist traps discovering hidden gems and secrets. Explore some of the highlights of the city on the water such as the Rialto bridge as well as some hidden treasures along the way. Stroll through a market overflowing with fish, fruits and vegetables of every shape and colors in the morning. (Other great stops in the afternoon!) Let's discover the oldest typical "bacari" and "osterie" famous for cicchetti (tapas-like bites unique to Venice). Taste a selection of regional wines and prosecco and savor bite-sized morsels bustling with local flavors. The best way to understand Venice, mixing history, food and wine

Lucia is the best! We learned so much and ate so many yummy things. It was a pleasure to experience Venice from a local’s perspective.
What an absolutely amazing afternoon we had with Lucia. Though our tour was focused around food and wine, we experienced so much more about what makes this beautiful city so special and delicious. Lucia took us to spots off the beaten path, where we wondered down walkways that were not crowded and filled with historical interest and delicious small bites and drinks. The view of Venice from the top of the renovated post office was spectacular! Thank you for a wonderful time!
Having used Lucia previously it was the perfect opportunity to meet her again. Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the food tour and look forward to tomorrows adventure. Lucia is not only extremely skilled at pointing out fun historical facts she engaged the younger children so well there wasn't a complaint from them to be had. Thanks Lucia.
We were greeted at the airport and our luggage was swiftly moved on to a taxi. The seven of us were all transported to our hotel where we dropped off our luggage and continued on with Lucia for an afternoon food tour. What a great way to start a tour of Venice and what an amazing tour guide to have lead the way. Arrangements for all by our tour guide extraordinaire. Lucia. We will tour with her for the next two days and shes already set a very high bar to beat.
What can we say about Lucia? If you LOVE food and are interested in a spectacular "insider's" food tour of Venice, you cannot do better than this tour. For our group of eight (four adults and four older children), though, what made this tour our absolute FAVORITE in a ten-day string of private TBL tours across Europe was Lucia herself -- she is immediately and impressively kind, funny, charming, patient, and charismatic -- just the kind of instant "friend" you hope for but never land in this context.
-Let's start from the Rialto area /or, discovering the place where Venice was founded according to the legend! We'll visit the Rialto market later we'll reach the historical Carampane area, this was the red light district of the Venice of the past, we'll find one of the narrowest calli (streets) of Venice as well and we'll reach the southern part of Venice: the historical and very cultural side of the floating city! -We'll visit typical eateries: cichetti, on request pasta tasting as well, good wine and why not: the best gelato too! The typical Venice bacari don’t have place to sit. You will act as a local! - This is a 100% customizable tour, I'll propose you the best route according to your interests and taste - I can run this tour just in Cannaregio and the Jewish ghetto (not during the week end ) or just in the Rialto area write me where you stay, your interests and any food allergy or preference and I will lead you to choose the right one
