My job is my hobby! Communicating the beauty of Venice is my mission. Venice, the jewel of the sea, is not just a city; it's a living, breathing work of art. And who better to unveil its captivating essence than a local born and bred amidst its enchanting canals and historic streets? Meet a professional guide and passionate Venetian on a mission to share the splendor of this magical city in the most interesting, detailed, and, dare we say, amusing way possible. Studying history and art at the local university, I made it my life's profession. Explore Venice with an Art Historian! I've been zigzagging across the world to satisfy an insatiable curiosity for different cultures. Working in Ireland and Finland, I ventured as an ambassador of Italian culture, teaching art and heritage at the University level. But like a homing pigeon, my heart always led me back to Venice. The magnetic pull of the canals, the age-old architecture, and the rich tapestry of history brought me back home to create a unique profession that would truly reflect my passion: becoming licensed tourist guide in 2009. And it's not just about showcasing the beauty of Venice; it's about preserving it. In my capable hands, Venice transforms from a place in a map to a vivid, living story that you become a part of. Get ready to experience Venice like never before, and remember, you're not just a tourist; you're part of Venice's ongoing history, and I'm here to show you just how wonderful that can be. Venetian born and raised in Venice, I became an art lover by opening the window of my home. (Art Historian) Bachelor of Arts with an artistic focus from Ca' Foscari University of Venice Worked as an Art Teacher in European Colleges Licensed Tour Guide since 2009 If my calendar seems full, don’t hesitate to contact me anyway. I may still be able to accommodate you. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver or by private boat. Please note that I provide pick-up and drop-off at the hotel only through the driver. I will meet you directly at the designated meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

Venice is an open air museum, and on this tour we'll cover the 5 most beautiful, must-see open air attractions! This will be an easy introductory walk across the city with several stops to enjoy. We'll of course visit Saint Mark's square, the most visited place with its unique charm, from where we'll see the gorgeous Basilica & Doge's Palace externally. We'll also reach Venice's most famous bridge (Rialto) and the Grand Canal. Have you ever played Marco Polo? We'll see his burned houses on this tour. Saint John & Paul square, local Venetians' open air living room and the colorful Rialto marketplace, a local fresh food market, are among the areas we'll be covering. Come on a classic Venice tour of places that people want to see at least once in their life. A gallery of monumental areas seen through the eyes of a local (my parents still live a few steps away from the area!). Whether your group consists on kids, curious travellers or history lovers, I can adapt it and go in depth in what interests you most.
·Starting from Saint Mark's square, we'll marvel at the Basilica, Doge's Palace and the oldest Cafè in the world to still be open. ·Next, by little alleys and hidden bridges with marvellous views (such as the Bridge of Sighs), we'll reach Saint John and Paul square, with its cafè with outdoor tables. ·Across more narrow alleys, we'll see the location of the Marco Polo's burned houses. ·We'll then head to the nearby Rialto Bridge for a pic of the Grand Canal from the top. ·We'll end at Rialto's marketplace with typical taverns in its surroundings. The marketplace nowadays sells seafood, fruits, veggies & flowers, but also little food souvenirs. This tour does not include internal visits to the sites, but the itinerary can be customized according to your needs & requests, please contact me. Pick up and drop off are personalized so the order of following itinerary is not compulsory.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
