Lucia made our time in Venice absolutely unforgettable! Her knowledge of Venetian history brought the city to life in such an engaging and meaningful way. Beyond the history, Lucia went above and beyond by sharing fantastic recommendations for places to eat and ways to continue exploring the city on our own. If you’re looking for a genuine, immersive experience in Venice, I can’t recommend Lucia enough, she is simply wonderful!
Lucia was excellent. It is always a little more special to get the perspective of someone who grew up in the area and really has a passion for their city. She picked us up at our hotel, Hilton Molino Stucky, and then we went a 60 minute tour of the canals before we proceeded on foot for the next 2 hours seeing all the major highlights as well as getting a tour of parts of Venice that you don't normally see, It was absolutely delightful and she was able to answer all our questions. We finished up at one of her favorite places for lunch and parted ways. She left us in the very capable hands of the owners of the establishment. Lunch was great. We did do the add on part to go to Murano and see the glass blowing. We already knew what to expect, but it was interesting to see how they work. You just have to navigate the shop out. Lucia was an EXTRAORDINARY tour guide - truly in a league of her own! There simply aren't enough superlatives to capture the depth of her talent, let alone how fun, engaging, and genuinely amazing she is as a person! We feel incredibly fortunate to have experienced Venice with her, especially since she’s in such high demand. Her calendar was booked out, but when we spotted an opening, we jumped at the chance - and wow, are we glad we did! Lucia’s knowledge and passion for all things Venice are absolutely unmatched. She brings the city to life with such energy and storytelling finesse that you can’t help but be completely drawn in! She’s thoughtful, deeply insightful, and radiates warmth and joy. I've done a lot of Tours by Locals in different countries and this was by far the best. We had a great boat tour up the Grand Canal and a walking tour from the Rialto Bridge to St Marks square, including a roof top view that is probable the best in Venice. She showed us the highlights as well as the best sops and restaurants away from the tourist traps. A perfect blend of historical and contemporary Venice.
Lucia was perfect for our group! She prepared games for the children, involved all of us in her presentation of history and points of interest and made us feel like we were part of the Venetian community. The boat tour was both beautiful and relaxing. She even found us the perfect restaurant at the end of the tour. We give Lucia our unreserved recommendation!
Lucia was great. We had a great tour by water taxi of Venice and then a tour of the Jewish Ghetto. She showed us Venice from a true locals point of view and avoided major summer crowds.
-The tour includes an overview of St. Mark's square outside, 1 hour boat ride through the Gran Canal or hidden canals, a walking tour to discover highlights and hidden gems. -We will start our tour with a great intro to Venice and we'll reach the most beautiful square of the world, Piazza San Marco, to see all the famous architectures (the Doges' Palace, Sansovino Library, the Bridge of Sighs, the Bell Tower. . . ). -We'll discover why masks and Carnival are so important in Venice and then away from the crowds, we will take a walk to discover the unique layout of the city: bridges, fancy private palaces, narrow alleyways, large and small campi(our squares), elaborate stone well heads. -We'll end our tour from the historical Rialto area, defined by historians "the Wall Street of Europe in the Middle Ages". -We'll discover the secrets of Rialto and I'll unveil the venetian point of view about the Rialto bridge and its spectacular view on the Grand Canal
