Hello there! This is Antonella, a Venetian born and raised travel and culture addicted tour guide and tour leader. When in Venice I don't offer only the factual information clients expect but also a cultural context that creates a more rewarding experience. I sense the kind of guest in front of me and adapt in no time delivering a tailor-made tour. When I don't lead/guide I act as an active member of a theatre company. My passion for theatre is very useful for my profession as I never "lecture" my guests: I actually engage them. When I don't act I write, obviously about travel! I live in Venice since I landed here for university studies. Later, I never wanted to leave the city, which I love deep down, if not to travel the world, of which I feel a citizen. I love my job because it allows me to combine passion for foreign languages and for this incredible city, with history, art, architecture, food (get ready for some gourmet tours!) and for theatre which, as a matter of fact, in Venice is a long-time tradition. -Government certified tour guide license issued by the Province of Modena (Italy) -Government certified tour leader license issued by the Province of Venice (Italy) -Port of Venice permit of access issued by the Venitian Port Authority (Italy) -Wine tasting Advisor issued by Onav and EBT (Italy) -Master in journalism at the Scuola di Giornalismo A.Chiodi (Venice, Italy) -Master in non profit economics; major in history of microcredit at the University of Ferrara (CARID) -Degree in economics of tourism; major in marketing re-launch of a Tout Operator at Ca' Foscari University of Venice No restrictions at all. I am a fully licenced tour leader and tour guide

Parks and gardens in Venice are always worth talking about. They're often a peaceful oasis in an over crowded city and a tremendous option to explore it from a different perspective. In Venice there are a dozen gardens to visit inside private palaces, silent convents, artistic and cultural spaces, as well as vegetable gardens. The tradition of Venetian gardens dates back to ancient times when, in case of war, the city was to be totally self-sufficient. With the fall of the Serenissima Republic and the coming of Napoleon, the first public gardens were created (i. e. the gardens at Castello distrinct, now location the Biennale). Green spaces in Venice were never abandoned and are still jealously preserved by Venetians. Join me through a few of them and let me take you for a bite and a drink!
-The itinerary will wind through alleys, bridges and small squares from the train station (or where you prefer) to 4 different green spots in the northern part of the city. -The perfect chance to discover places guests usually don't think about when in Venice and an opportunity to escape the crowd and summer heat. -Once you get into the mood it will be easy to spot the maze of gardens and parks hidden among Venice dense alleys, palaces, walls and canals, I promise! -During the tour we will stop at a historical pastry shop or a typical "bacaro" for a drink and a bite. If you prefer we can easily grab one of the best gelato in Venice and have it comfortably sitting in a park bench to enjoy the breeze. Contact me for customization.
