The tour was first class. Beautiful taxi ride over and the tour was amazing. Bought gorgeous glasses and pitcher. Peter was our guild - charming and welcoming. Lucia at Local Tours helped us down to the last minute of sending us a walking map- otherwise we would still be walking in circles. Enjoy!!
This is the second tour we took with Lucia and she was wonderful again. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge of history and culture and we thoroughly enjoyed spending our time with her. We took a beautiful boat ride to Murano and on the way over she told us about the history of the island and glass making. We then had a fascinating demonstration of glassmaking at Vetreria Estevan Rossetti 1950. Their showroom was spectacular! Thank you so much Lucia for a memorable experience!
This was a wonderful tour. Lucia did a great job tailoring the tour to our interests. We saw the glass factory and the showroom, (yes it was a sales thing for the glass maker, but the work they showed us was incredible). We added the bead making class for 2 of us on the tour. It was a totally awesome experience. While we were in the class, Lucia took the others on the rest of their tour and then came back for us. I would be happy to have Lucia as a guide again.
What a wonderful way to visit Murano! Lucia was the best! Prompt, energetic, extremely knowledgeable about Murano and Venice, and excellent English. Made the tour interesting for 18 and 20 year old daughters (related to them nicely). Arranged for private boat transfer to Murano and a private glass blowing demonstration and factory museum tour that we all enjoyed.
We greatly enjoyed our 3 hour Murano excursion with Lucia. She is so sweet, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The transportation arrangements to/from Murano were flawless. The weather was less than perfect but Lucia made our visit very memorable. We highly recommend Lucia.

We will enjoy a nice walk in Venice and then we will be travelling in luxury and style - using a private deluxe water-taxi to navigate and reach the Island efficiently (only from Venice to Murano) We will come back by waterbus and the tour will end at fondamenta nove (Cannaregio) where I can suggest you great lunch or dinner places
