Half day discovering the hidden side of Rome!
Overview of your Rome tour
Ready to explore something unusual with me? My trusted driver and me will pick you up at you accommodation in Rome and we will start discovering the dark side of the Eternal City. Inside the amazing layered Basilica of St. Clemente we'll discover almost 2000 years of the history of Rome, from the pagan to the Christian era. An amazing medieval church with an hidden side below: its scavi discovered accidentally in the XIX century and still full of surprises! It's time to reach Santa Domitilla Catacombs, my favourite, the only one still bearing an underground Basilica dedicated to the Holy Martyrs Nereo and Achilleo, along with Saint Petronilla considered the longest underground galleries in Rome. Here we will be guided through the dark tunnels where the first Christians use to bury their dead waiting for the Last Judgment to finally resurrect. A real journey through time . . . We will end our tour taking a walk on the Appian way, the Queen of Roman Roads!
