Join me on one of my favourite tours and discover some of the secret jewels of Rome! One of the most fascinating areas of Rome: the Trastevere section, with its beautiful early Christian churches full of history. Today the area is famous for fantastic restaurants and cafes (my favourite ones are here!) where we could have a little break to get an italian "espresso" coffee or a glass of wine. Then we'll proceed to the Tiberina island, the small island right in the middle of the Tiber river which has been so important for the foundation of Rome. We'll walk on the oldest bridge of Rome, dating back to 62b. C. , and we'll reach the area of the Jewish section so full of history since the ancient Rome time. Our Tour will finish at the theatre of Marcello, one of the oldest theatres in Rome surrounded by old temples and churches.
Highly recommended tour which was tailored to our requests. Ennio is an engaging guide. We enjoyed our tour immensely, it was nice to do a neighborhood walk after doing multiple museum tours. He recommended an excellent local restaurant for lunch after the conclusion of our tour.

We had done the "usual" Rome tours so wanted a more in-depth tour. The history of the Jewish community within the Roman city especially during World War II was something I was interested in. Ennio offered a very comprehensive walking tour which also included two Catholic churches in the area. This was another of my interests.
