The Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel

Walk through the Gallery of Tapestries, a hall adorned with magnificent Flemish tapestries, illustrating scenes from the life of Christ and the papacy and proceed through the Gallery of Maps with captivating frescoes of historical maps of Italy. Enter rooms painted by Raphael and his workshop, including the famous School of Athens. Conclude the tour with Michelangelo’s masterpiece—the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Take in the awe-inspiring Creation of Adam and the dramatic Last Judgment frescoes.
