Hi there! I'm Barbara, born and raised in Rome, just a few feet from the Vatican City, I love to travel the world and explore different cultures! With a degree in Architecture and a master degree in Historical Building Restoration, I have been studying architecture and art history for all my life, working for several years to the restoration of some of the most prestigious palaces in Rome. Explore the most important Squares and streets of Rome with a native Roman! This walking tour, a passeggiata, is perfect for the first time visitors who want to have an idea of the true Roman lifestyle. We will start with Piazza Navona, to me the most cheerful of all Roman piazzas, built in on the site of the 1st century Stadium of Domitian and still keeps its shape, here you will see the Baroque geniuses Bernini and Borromini facing each other. . . Then we will visit to the amazing Pantheon inside, it is the best preserved Roman building, a real delight for architecture lovers (like me!) that still bears the biggest concrete dome in the world! We'll pass by the narrow alleys of the City Center popping up at Trevi Fountain Square to throw your coin, wishing to come back. The tour will end in the elegant and fashionable Piazza di Spagna, dominated by the 135 amazing Spanish Steps, just in time for an aperitivo. . . .

This was my first trip to Rome and Barbara delivered everything on my wish list. She met me at the hotel as arranged and, in wonderful, weather, set out to experience the wonder of the city.
