Best of the Eternal Rome with a private guide
Overview of your Rome tour
This is the tour to discover the heart of the Eternal City and its antique treasures. First, we will visit the Colosseum. Originally known by the name of Flavius amphitheatre, it was one of the most impressive building and one of the first stadiums in history. With its capacity of 70 thousand spectators, it is still considered an architectural masterpiece and used as a model for all contemporary stadiums. Inside the Colosseum we will still be able to breathe the air of violent competitions between gladiators. We are then going to visit the iconic Roman Forum, the central square of the Roman daily life and the key political, religius, and commercial affairs, with archeological evidences from 3 thousand years ago. The ruins of ancient temples, archs and buildings and the awsome view from the Palatine Hill, will be a perfect background for your souvenir photos of the City.
Your Rome tour itinerary
- Colosseum (ground floor and 1st floor - Arena if available), Roman Forum and Palatine Hill) PLEASE NOTE: - The tour does not include access to the underground. If available, it could include the access to the Gladiator Arena Floor. - Access and time depend on ticket availability. - When booking you must send me the full names of all participants to purchase tickets. - Depending on the entrance time for the Colosseum, we will be able to visit the Roman Forum first or the Colosseum first Opening hours vary according to the season. In case of afternoon tours, contact me in advance. On the first Sunday of the month, entry to the Colosseum is free and therefore there are no guided tours on my calendar.
