Hi there! I'm Barbara, born and raised in Rome, just a few feet from the Vatican City, I love to travel the world and explore different cultures! With a degree in Architecture and a master degree in Historical Building Restoration, I have been studying architecture and art history for all my life, working for several years to the restoration of some of the most prestigious palaces in Rome. I decided to become a Tour Guide to share my lifetime experience in Rome with people from all over the world. I'm really proud to unravel the amazing stories hidden behind every alley and square of the Eternal city, bring back to life the outstanding Roman ruins, show the masterpieces made by the most important artists working for the powerful Popes and communicate my passion and true love for my Hometown, like only locals can do! All of my tours are private and can be tailored according to you interests and wishes, so just give me the details and I will create the perfect tour just for you! I hope to welcome you soon to Rome. . . A presto! Overview of your Rome tour

Spend half day discovering the Baroque genius with an architect and Roman native! Caravaggio is probably the most famous and controversial artist of the Roman Baroque, the quintessential cursed painter, a bad boy! Together we will admire his extraordinary works that still lie in the places for which they have been originally created, a rare opportunity to see how they where designed in their original locations. From the Contarelli Chapel in the national French church of St Louis of the French with three amazing masterpieces dedicated to Saint Matthew, to the church of Saint Augustine and its scandalous Madonna of the Pilgrims. Then, walking in the same streets where he lived his stormy life, we will reach piazza del Popolo and the church of Saint Mary where, in the Cerasi chapel, we will be moved by two more impressive canvas by the unlucky and controversial painter from Milan.
