Vesuvius is one of the most visited and well-known volcanoes in the world. 1300 meters high is about 9 km from Naples. The crater of Mount Vesuvius has a diameter of about 700 meters and is 200 meters deep. It includes two volcanoes: Mount Somma and Vesuvius Great Cone. Since 1995, the Vesuvius has become a national park where you can reach the summit along a path to walk. The path is a well-known tourist and the Gran Cone, leading through a steep path up to the mouth of the crater. Pompeii is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world, a historical Roman Empire brought to light after the terrible eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. We'll go to a discovery tour of the ancient winemaking tradition of the Campania region. We will taste local wines accompanied by typical products. Enjoy the full experience of the tasting, tour and lunch in the local restaurant set in captivating surroundings where you can re-discover the beauty of nature and savour traditional foods and genuine local cuisine.
Your Naples tour itinerary
- From Naples we will first head to Mount Vesuvio where the path is well-known tourist and the Gran Cone, leading through a steep path up to the mouth of the crater; - Then, visit a winery. The vineyard is located near the based of Mt. Vesuvius and is approximately a 15 minutes drive from Pompeii. The tour of vineyard includes the history of the land and wine productions, wine tasting and menu pairing with typical regional products; - Visit Pompeii for approx. 2 hours based on your desires and physical attitudes.
