Hello! I 'm Barbara. I'm an authentic Neapolitan, born and raised here. I love this city and its environs. Unlike so many who live here in the Napoli area, I constantly take advantage of the incredible myriad of experiences available here. Growing up I turned my passion in my field of studies and expertise into my livelihood. I have a masters degree in History and archeology from the University Orientale of Naples (one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe) and I love to constantly upgrade my knowledge, especially about archaeology. Archeology is so fascinating for me because it is not a right science, a lot is already known and there is so much more yet to be known. About archaeology there is no greater source of information than in Pompeii with its constant and amazing new discoveries. The first time I visited Pompei I was 8 years old. I was with my mother, who is a history teacher and most of all a passionate scholar of Roman history. She shared with me her passion for history and art, and I love to do the same for you on my tours. My job is not just a job it's my passion, I LOVE making my clients knowledgeable about Naples and its neighbors, which is like nowhere else you have ever been on Earth. Who better to open your eyes to the charms of the fascinating city of Naples and all of the Campania region more than someone who is deeply in love with it? I love what I do, always sharing my knowledge to create fun, informative and memorable tour experiences, time after time. I think that every client is unique and therefore so is every tour. Whether you have been here many times or are a newbie, I focus on your preferences and create the ultimate itinerary that fits you and yours. As a result, together we build up a tour program that is sure to be delightful and most memorable experience for you and yours. For me, this is not a job, it's a joy! No scripted speeches or monologues. What you'll experience is an attentive, engaging and informative tour. I feel I am the luckiest person in Naples that I get to spend my time essentially on vacation with my guests for the day and having an awesomely fun time doing so. The interactivity, the curiosity, and the enthusiastic participation of my guests make my job so much more rewarding and fun. Customizing tours to specific interests and locales satisfies my need to constantly be creative. I get so much pleasure from experiencing memorable moments in history, architecture sights, amazing food, old traditions and spectacular views with you. Please join me on an unforgettable adventure you will keep with you for a lifetime. Master's Degree in history and art Licensed tour guide None.

As art historian I never stop to suggest all my client to visit this amazing museum. Visiting Capodimonte, opened to the public as a museum in 1957, is equivalent to browsing a manual of art history from the thirteenth to the twentieth century, up to the contemporary with over 47000 works of art. In the 126 galleries on three main levels, in addition to the ground floor and mezzanines, there are masterpieces by artists of every Italian painting school - Tuscan, Venetian, Emilian, Neapolitan, Roman - but also important foreign presences such as Brueghel, Van Dyck and other Flemings. And then the sculptures, from Renaissance busts to modern and contemporary works; Located in the Bourbon Royal Palace of Capodimonte, in a lush garden of the hill with an amazing view of the city, the Museum is a treasure trove of paintings and decorative art of the Italian paintings from 13th to the 18th including major works by Simone Martini, Raphael, Titian, Caravaggio, Masaccio, Mantegna, El Greco, and Parmigianino.
This is a walking tour. •We will meet first outside the Museum. The palace of Capodimonte was founded in 1738 by Charles of Bourbon, King of Naples in 1734, to house the collection inherited from his mother Elizabeth, the last descendant of the powerful Farnese family. The Reggia, completed only a century later, already housed in 1756 the famous collection while in the other wing of the same floor there is the Royal Apartment. With a modern layout it is proposed the dual function of palace and museum that has characterized from the beginning the site of Capodimonte. We will visit in the first floor: the Farnese Collection (an incredible excursus from Masaccio to Titian and Raffaello), the Borgia Collection, the Gallery of rare objects and the Royal Apartment. On second floor we will admire the Neapolitan section (from Simone Martini to Caravaggio and Caravaggio's school).
