Hi everybody, my name is Marcello. I'm specialized in high grade archeological and historical tours. Born and raised in Naples and belonging to a very old Neapolitan famiIy I've got the official license of Professional Tour Guide in 2000. I'm also specialized in the painting of '500 and '600, like Caravaggio, Tiziano, Raffaello, Jusepe de Ribeira, Battistello Caracciolo, and all the painters who" mastered the light". In 2015 I've got specialization in roman currency as well. I do cooperate with the U. S. Syracuse University, and over the past years, I had interesting experiences while working with some International TV productions as expert in archeology and art. Your Naples tour itinerary
Our experience of the Archeological Museum starts from the Farnese Collection, displayed at the ground floor. The so called Farnese Bull or the Farnese Hercules are some of its highlights. Both the marble sculpture will take your breath away. Than we keep on moving going up to the Mosaic Collection and the so called Secret Room where over two thousand years old "erotic" frescoes and objects are exposed. I will tell you the stories behind them, stories about prostitution and hard daily life in the roman time. So we move to the second floor where all the main collections of objects, frescoes, glasses, bronze wear from Pompeii are displayed together with the most detailed scale model of the city buried by the Volcano in 79ad. You'll touch the life like it was at that time As last step I'll take you to the Egyptian Collection to see incredibly well preserved sarcophagus and mummies surrounded by their alabaster canopi vases, hundreds of faience statuettes and objects related to the egyptian cult of the death.
