Hello dear travelers! My name is RICCARDO and I'm an EXPERT QUALIFIED TOUR GUIDE of FLORENCE! I was born and raised in a little village next to Florence and since I was a child I got fascinated by the BEAUTIES of this city. At the age of 16 I deeply fell in love with FOREIGN LANGUAGES so I obtained a bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages and Literature at the University of Florence and had several experiences studying and/or working abroad (6 months studying in Madrid, Spain, 3 months working in Brighton, England, 4 months traveling around South America, and 2 years teaching Spanish and studying for a master's degree at Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida), thanks to which I can now speak fluently 4 LANGUAGES: Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese. Eventually, I decided to settled down back in FLORENCE where I started working as Tour Leader, Freelance translator, Private Spanish and English tutor, and from July 2016, I became Certified Tour Guide of Florence, which allows me to do what I LOVE the most: SHOW the beauties of my town to PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD! Overview of your Florence tour

I'm sure you will love this quick visit of Florence with a young local professional tour guide like me! In just 3 hours you will get a deep understanding of the cultural, economical, architectural and artistic evolution that made out of Florence the Cradle of Renaissance. We will start strolling around the city in order to hit the most famous landmarks among lots of less known and unique places while learning about the evolution of Florence from its Roman foundation until today. We will visit from outside amazing places such as the Cathedral (Duomo), Signoria square and Ponte Vecchio and many others discussing the odd costumes of Florence during the Middle Ages. The whole tour will be "seasoned" by many insights about street art, medieval gossip, Tuscan food and wine, and more. I guarantee you will feel like you have lived in Florence for a while after this tour!

Our morning with Riccardo was phenomenal! Best way to get an introduction to Florence. He met us at the door of our apartment building and guided us through the city at a perfect pace. He is a native of Florence and his knowledge of history and his English were exceptional. He asked questions to find out what we were interested in so that he didn't waste time pointing out things that weren't important for our visit. There is so much to see in Florence and RIccardo brought life to each place that we stopped. This was the perfect overview that we needed before we went back for in depth exploration. We learned about how and why the citizens lived the way they did long ago and how Florence has worked to preserve its history. Bonus, Riccardo answered our questions about restaurants and gelato shops, giving us history about Florentine cuisine as well! We followed his suggestions throughout the week and were not disappointed! Our seven days in Florence were better for this introductory tour. Highly recommended!
