Hello dear travelers! My name is RICCARDO and I'm an EXPERT QUALIFIED TOUR GUIDE of FLORENCE! I was born and raised in a little village next to Florence and since I was a child I got fascinated by the BEAUTIES of this city. At the age of 16 I deeply fell in love with FOREIGN LANGUAGES so I obtained a bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages and Literature at the University of Florence and had several experiences studying and/or working abroad (6 months studying in Madrid, Spain, 3 months working in Brighton, England, 4 months traveling around South America, and 2 years teaching Spanish and studying for a master's degree at Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida), thanks to which I can now speak fluently 4 LANGUAGES: Italian, English, Spanish and Portuguese. Eventually, I decided to settled down back in FLORENCE where I started working as Tour Leader, Freelance translator, Private Spanish and English tutor, and from July 2016, I became Certified Tour Guide of Florence, which allows me to do what I LOVE the most: SHOW the beauties of my town to PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD! My goal is one: to MAKE YOUR DAY SPECIAL!! The PRICE of each of my tours is PER GROUP, not per person, which means that from 1 to 5 clients (according to the tour) the cost is always the SAME! In case of bigger groups an extra price per extra client will be applied. If you want to visit Florence and you want to know everything about its history and culture, as much as about the life and art of one of the biggest geniouses ever lived, Michelangelo Buonarroti, I'm sure you will love this tour! As young, local, professional tour guide and Michelangelo enthusiast, I will be happy to lead you strolling around Florence in order to learn about its amazing history while discoverying the most important monuments of the city. Michelangelo will come along in almost each stop of our walk in order to share with us stories about his life providing interesting insights on his genius. After a short gelato break (one of the best in town!) we will head towards the Accademia gallery where you will be astonished by the most amazing statues by Michelangelo such as David, while discoverying the eccentricity of the artist (the museum visit can be 30 minutes, 1 hour or 1.5 hours). THIS TOUR IN NOT AVAILABLE ON MONDAYS AND ON THE FIRST SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH.

We so enjoyed our walking tour with Riccardo! although we didn't have that much time, we learned so much in our 3 hour tour. Even though it was hot the day of our tour, Riccardo took time to make sure we were always in the shade while he spoke so it really wasn't bad. He made the tour interesting for not only us but our teen sons. Doing a private tour made all the difference in making our trip enjoyable and we would reccomend Riccardo to anyone looking!
