What is the Renaissance and what makes Florence the cradle of this Renaissance? Join me on one of my walking tours and I will tell you all about it. The art, the architecture but also the social history, all come together to make it an instructive yet highly enjoyable experience (there’s no exam at the end). Also, many are the less frequented Museums and churches in Florence, where you can find yourself in front of an absolute masterpiece, and no one around to bother you.

Overview of your Florence tour

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS TOUR, CONTACT ME DIRECTLY ON THIS PLATFORM BEFORE MAKING ANY BOOKING REQUESTS. Starting in the central Republic Square we walk through the medieval city learning about its history, architecture and art. We then make our way to the Cathedral, from where we proceed to the Accademia where, in a purposely made hall, Michelangelo's original statue of David is housed together with other stunning works by the same artist. YOU are RESPONSIBLE for booking and purchasing the Accademia tickets, on the official website, webshop.b-ticket.com and these must be booked for a specific time slot. We must liaise on this platform so as to define, together, the appropriate time slots, depending on availability and schedule.

Magnolis was simply amazing. His knowledge of all things Florence is so impressive. He adds a back story to everything you see. You will learn history that is not in any travel book! He’s also very funny and a delight to spend the day with. We highly recommend you book your tour with Manolis now!

Manolis was extremely knowledgable about Florence and funny, too! We loved hearing about the history of such an amazing and beautiful city. He had great recommendations for additional sites to see at our leisure. He spoke excellent English and was very aware of potential physical limits, the heat, etc. When he suggests the Sicilian gelato place, don't miss it! Try the granita!!

Our tour guide through the beautiful city of Barcelona was Ilona W. Her historical knowledge was fantastic and her style was energetic and engaging. Ilona’s specialty was the architecture and artworks of Barcelona through the centuries. And no better guide than her and her driver Kevin could be found. It happened to be raining that day and Ilona brought us to a hidden gem of a cafe that was a favorite of artists and writers from 100 year’s ago. Where Pablo Picasso had exhibited his first paintings. We spent 6 hours with Ilona and Kevin and despite the weather had a wonderful and educational experience. Thank you Ilona and Kevin! Sincerely., William W.

Through the words and wit of Manolis, we enjoyed an incredible experience in Florence. With someone so knowledgeable guiding, one cannot help but maximize their appreciation for the history and art that a city like Florence offers. His explanations and story-telling were layered with colorful and interesting descriptions of its people, families and artists. We came away from Florence knowing that we would be back and knowing whom we would call when we do. Manolis is one of the best guides that we have encountered and you should feel comfortable booking his services. His is truly a gem.
