For centuries this part of town has been known for its Renaissance palaces and medieval towers but it is also a great part of town to explore for its lively squares with cafes, wine bars and restaurants for visitors and locals alike. I will take you to its landmarks to discover the history of characteristic streets and alleyways. I'll show you hidden corners drenched in history that you would likely miss on your own. And then I'll lead you inside Santo Spirito, a church designed by Brunelleschi and one of the most beautiful architectural monuments of Florence. See its numerous chapels with artworks by the masters that can be enjoyed without busy crowds. At the majestic Palazzo Pitti hear the story of its construction and tales of its former residents, the Medici!
