Ciao! My name is Giacomo and I was born and raised in a small medieval village on the rolling hills west of Florence, where I still live. I have been working in the tourism industry since 2003, starting originally as a tour leader across Tuscany. I specialized as a local guide for Florence in 2008, and since then I have been engaging mainly as a freelance tour guide in the Florence area. The main landmarks included in the tour itinerary are: - Republic Square - the ancient Roman town center - Duomo complex - Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral with Brunelleschi's Dome, Giotto's Bell Tower, and Baptistery (outside) - Signoria Square and town hall, Palazzo Vecchio (outside) - Ponte Vecchio, the Old Bridge - Medieval District - Accademia Gallery (inside): The David of Michelangelo Accademia Gallery is closed on Mondays. Accademia Gallery opens its doors to the public on summer evenings every Tuesday and Thursday! The itinerary could be on the reverse according to Accademia time slot tickets. The tour can be customized according to your preference. IMPORTANT: Please write me if there are people with mobility problems and if you use or need a wheelchair, the itinerary will be different. Please remember to bring your passport, the ticket is NOMINAL and you must show your ID (passport photo on your phone works). In high season there may be some queues, even with skip-the-line tickets.
