Escape the city from Dublin. The natural setting of Skerries, amid a rolling countryside and a vibrant sea, is a walkers dream. Every trail and path in Skerries inevitably has views of the sea and surrounding landscape. The 2. 5-kilometre long South Beach is a sandy walk between the Irish Sea and the seaside town. You can also walk from the South Beach along a sand bank to Shenick Island during the low tide. Malahide Castle, parts of which date to the 12th century, lies, with over 260 acres of remaining estate parkland, close to the village of Malahide. Stopping first at the grounds of Malahide Castle you can enjoy a live-guided tour of the refurbished castle (Talbot family) and wander the castle grounds which span some 250 acres. Close by is Howth, a beautiful fishing village which is famous for it's seafood and food fare. A quaint village that has everything to offer. A visit to the Martello Tower is popular for a photo opportunity.

Every trail and path you follow in the area ultimately offers great views of the sea and surrounding nature. The two-and-a-half kilometre South Beach is a popular spot that leads to Shenick Island. 12. 00 drive the coastline to Malahide town. A visit to Malahide Castle is a must, Medieval meets modernity in the beautiful seaside village of Malahide in Dublin. The village of Malahide, with its medieval charm and chic boutiques may overrun your time allocated. 14. 00 drive to Howth. this quaint village has many options for lunch or dinner, one is Wright's Findlater which is overlooking the harbour.
