Half Day Prague Monasteries and Churches Tour

Since I grew up in a catholic family, religious places are very familiar to me and Prague also happens to have a really interesting religious history. Everything began with the baptism of the first Czech princes, then continued with the Hussite civil wars - did you know that we had protestant reformers even before Martin Luther wrote his famous manifesto? This was followed by the uprising of the Estates which started a 30-year religious war in Europe and it all culminated in the strong religious persecution of the communist era, then finally ending with today's very atheist Czech society. If you would like to understand more about what religion means to us Czechs, then I am your guide. During my tour we will visit some of the most famous and oldest monasteries and churches in Prague's old town. We'll start our walk in the year 1231 and finish it in 1771. Together we'll go on a whirlwind tour through an incredible 540 years of our religious history.
