My name is Gabrielle but most people call me Gaby. Born and raised in the south west of France from British parents. I moved to Korcula to join my husband after travelling the world working on luxury cruiseships. From the first moment I set foot on Korcula I fell in love with its beauty. I then quickly found out about it's hidden secrets, the beautiful bays but also the amazing wines the island produces. After working for a year in a local wine shop and gaining the knowledge of all the different varieties and productions around the island, I decided to take travellers through the same joyful adventure I experienced when I first arrived here. I love taking my guests to not only discover the island but also the traditional ways that wine is still produced here and the beautiful grape varieties that are only native to such a small place. Between small family run wine producers to bigger more established companies, I take you through a real discovery of the island all the while enjoying the most jaw dropping views of the adriatic sea and the coast. Being very familiar with the locals, the area and the different facilities or activities, I can very easily create an itinerary that can fit your timeline or your wishes whether you are a family with children or a couple on a honeymoon, I have made it my mission to make your experience unforgettable. Bachelors degree in International Hotel Management with Wine specialty Working as a tour guide for 2 years I am not licensed to provide a guided tour within the old town of Korcula. I will not drive the vehicle but use a company to take us around the island. This is included in the price.

Departing from Korcula, we will head to the center of the island towards the small towns of Smokvica and Cara where the renowned Posip grape variety was first discovered and cultivated. Going through the vineyards and visiting a few wineries in those towns, you will get an overview of not only the wine production on a bigger scale but also the experience of meeting a family-owned winery passed down through generations. Of course, sampling the wines is included. We will then head back towards Korcula, stopping at a few spots with breathtaking views. We will then pass Korcula and head straight for the southwestern tip of the Island to the town of Lumbarda. Known for its small production of the Grk variety which only grows in this small part of the island, Lumbarda is a beautiful fishing village surrounded by vineyards only 50 to 100m from the sea. You will feel as though a friend is showing you proudly about their home, a friend with exquisit taste that is! Gaby was a delightful and expertly knowledgeable host for exploring Korčula's wineries. I can't think of a better person to have shown me around the island and couldn't recommend her services more highly.
This was a wonderful tour with several stops on the island including honey, olive oil and gin followed by two wineries. Our travel afternoon was accentuated by Pedro’s sparkling personality ! He was a perfect guide and took us along winding roads of coastline. A heavy rainstorm was no worry to him as we enjoyed interacting with hosts at the local wineries.
Gaby took us on a tour around three wonderful wineries on Korcula. We were picked up on arrival at the marina and taken to three very different and individual wineries. Our group of six have done many wine visits before, and truly appreciated Gaby's insight into the wine scene in Croatia generally and Korcula specifically. Her explanations were fascinating. Each of the three wineries were really interesting and very different to one another in approach and sensation. Gaby took us to a view point for a short walk, as well as accompanying us to each of the wineries. She has a great rapport with all the owners which makes you feel special, plus Gaby provides real insights into a fabulous scene of small, bespoke wineries. All six of us truly enjoyed our afternoon with Gaby. She's a warm and wonderful communicator.
Gaby was a great guide, as was her driver! We enjoyed learning about her experience in the travel industry as well as her personal story about how she ended up in Korcula. She obviously knows the owners of the wineries on a personal level and has built strong relationships with so many of them. This enhanced our winery tour for sure. She shared with us a nice mix of wineries and it was a really lovely way to see see the island. I would definitely recommend this tour of Korcula and its wineries.
Departure from Korcula - 20min drive to Smokvica with a stop halfway. - stop at the first winery and taste the wines. - Then 15min drive to Žrnovo where we will see the second winery. stopping at 2 viewpoints on the way for pictures - 10min drive to Lumbarda, - Arrival in Lumbarda, stop in the vineyards - Then final winery of the day - Return to Korcula The itinerary is flexible, for any changes please let me know.
