Prívate City Tour History & Local Culture

Last week, my family had the pleasure of touring Cartagena with Paulina. She was a fabulous guide with great local knowledge. She met us at the hotel and gave us a very helpful introduction to the history of the city and what we would be seeing that day. The design of the tour was great, as we started outside the walled city and toured some of the forts and a monastery, giving us a birds eye view of the larger city and neighborhoods. We then left the car at the wall of the old city and walked the streets. Paulina was great with my daughters, and even stayed much longer to help with shopping well past the time our tour had ended. I would highly recommend Paulina as a tour guide. You will learn a lot about the history and character of the neighborhoods and really enjoy the experience.

We had a fantastic time on our tour with Paulina. We had limited time because of our cruise ship schedule and she did a wonderful job of making sure that we saw the important sites and she tailored the tour to our preferences. We were able to enjoy the city in a comfortable air conditioned car which was a relief with the heat and humidity. And David our driver did an excellent job navigating through Cartagena traffic. Paulina was so knowledgable and personable and it was lovely to spend our day with her. I highly recommend booking her tour when visiting Cartagena.

An excellent experience.

Paulina R was our tour guide for six of us of the elder generation. From the beginning she was extremely communicative with me, making sure that we let her know what we were most interested in seeing in and around Cartagena. During the tour she gave us an excellent description of the historical sites as well as interesting commentary on Cartagena today. She was easy to understand and she was kind and accommodating to the accessibility needs of one of our group. I would definitely recommend Paulina and will use her again if we ever have the good fortune to return to her city.

We had an outstanding full-day city tour in Cartagena, Colombia with our guide, Paulina. She was knowledgeable, personable, and kept the entire experience running smoothly and on time. The tour covered all the major highlights of the city, including the Old City, the Fort, the Convent, the Harbor, and several additional historic and cultural sites. Paulina provided rich background information at every stop, giving us a deeper understanding of the city’s past and present. A special highlight was a delightful stop at Santa Clara for coffee and croissants — a perfect break in the middle of our exploration. Our tour - Old City Tour-Cartagena was excellent! We learned so much about Cartagena and Columbia. Paulina did a great job organizing our pickup at the cruise port and then dropping us off at our hotel. The vehicle and driver were excellent as well! We had some special requests and she was very helpful and accommodating.
