My name is Jason, I was born and raised in Grand Cayman. My father is a local sailor, who used to race sailboats and my mother came to island 30 years ago from the US as a Dive Instructor and was on the cover of National Geographic for Stingray City in the 80s. My fathers parents opened the first Hotel on 7 Mile Beach and I am the third generation working in tourism and ocean is in my blood. I have been a Boat Captain since I was a teenager and I pride myself as a conservationist and expert on Marine Biology. I love Grand Cayman with all my heart and would love nothing more than to share with you, why Island is so special. I am also happily married and a father of three wonderful kids! Overview of your George Town tour

This is a Private and luxury tour so you and your group have the boat to yourself along with myself as the Captain and my first mate. Snorkel gear, bottled water, sodas are included and you are welcome to bring beer/alcohol and snacks and store them in our cooler filled with ice. I am Captain Jason and I was born and raised in Grand Cayman, my family has been in the tourism industry on the island for three generations. I will be your guide for the day and I have a background in Marine Biology and Local History. I will provide you with a truly unique, hands on experience. Stingray City, Coral Reef Snorkeling, Beach Bar and Starfish Point, in style, in private with an amazing host and a beautiful boat.

We had a wonderful day with Jason and Zach! His boat was perfect for our group of 8. We had water and soda available as well as an ice chest we could have add our own drinks into. We went to sting ray ally where Jason taught us about the sting rays as well as letting us hold them and even giving one a kiss for luck! It was a fun experience. We went to a nice snorkeling spot after that then to star fish beach. He got us back to the marina on time and had a taxi waiting for us to get us back to our cruise ship. All around great day!

What an outstanding day snorkeling and enjoying being on The Sea Hatch. Captain Jason and mate Mya were outstanding and very informative. Jason showed us so many wonderful things from stingrays, to starfish, to incredible fish. What an incredible day and experience. So many wonderful memories made thanks to Jason and Mya. We have used Tours by Locals many times and this is one of the very best tours we have taken. Great tour with great people.

Your George Town tour itinerary

• First to Stingray City Sandbar on your own private boat. Your local captain is hands on and he is your personal guide. He will assist with everything and teach you all you need to know about safely interacting with the friendly Southern Stingrays. He will also give you educational information on the biology of the Rays and local history. Stingray City is a natural Sandbar located 5 mile from shore and is around 3 feet deep. • Next we are off to a healthy Coral Reef. We have all the necessary gear and someone will always be in the water with you to guide you and educate on Marine Biology. • Your third stop will be close to Midday and we will stop a beautiful slow paced beach Restaurant/Bar. Lunch is paid for at your own expense and is not included in the price of the tour. • The next stop on your trip is at Starfish Point, an undeveloped beach, that is home to a large Red Cushion Sea Stars (Starfish). If time permits we will end your day with one last stop to Snorkel a new radiant Coral Reef.
