We will start our journey heading to Ste. Anne Basilica and Shrine (40 min. drive). This magnificent work of architecture will surprise everyone, saint or not ;) A pilgrimage place popular (1 million people), reknown for miracles. Secrets in every corner in this Basilica. Then, let's take the "King's road", historic road along the St. Lawrence river, first road to be built in New France. You'll get the "royal treatment" with this scenary of old houses, rootcellars. . . This road was officially designated as a main touristic road to discover in the province. We will stop for a tasting at a historic house, fresh home-made bread and maple butter, sooooo delicious! We'll then tour the tip of Island of Orleans, the enchantress island, with its rural landscape and local products. You'll have the chance to taste wine /or chocolate. Touring the island is like a moment of peace in the countryside. We'll stop at the Montmorency falls, 1 1/2 higher than Niagara. Back in town
Our first day in Quebec City was wonderful! Shadya took us out of the city and we were able to see everything we wanted to do despite the crowds. Shadya was excellent in helping us manage our time and miss the worst of the crowds. She was very knowledgeable and personable.
Shadya was the BEST! I accidentally booked the wrong tour, but Shadya didn't miss a beat and was so flexible! I think we actually made up our own "local" tour, but it was perfect! Shadya had great stories and lots of history on Quebec City. Quebec City is beautiful and we loved having this private tour!
