I am an accomplished outdoor enthusiast and world traveller who has explored much of Canada, Asia, South America, Central America and New Zealand. At 25ish countries and counting I am always looking for new adventures and new people to share adventures with, whether it be by road or on foot. With more than 20 years of experience here in the Canadian Rockies I have a passion for the mountains and like nothing more than sharing that passion with others. I practice Leave No Trace ethics and it is my goal to foster a better appreciation and understanding of our natural environment by connecting people to the history and the landscape. My good nature and sense of humour make me an easy travelling companion on long and short trips alike. I am certified by the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides, the Interpretive Guides Association and the Outdoor Council of Canada. I also have an Advanced Wilderness First Aid Certification. Business Licences and Proof of Commercial Liability Insurance for all advertised Activities and Tour areas are available. I am continuously adding to my skills, experience and knowledge. For any and all trips I put the safety and enjoyment of my guests first. Transportation is included and recommendations can be made about local dining, accommodations, other activities and facilities. Requests for larger groups can be accommodated. Please bear with me as I am often away from internet and cell reception. I look forward to connecting with you as soon as possible. Every Tour is customized to your interests and abilities. Experience a unique walk on a river of ice between high limestone walls containing mysterious pictographs and frozen waterfalls or frolic through Alberta's champagne powder in search of sub alpine lakes. Spring tours may be able to witness avalanches from a safe viewpoint. Please bring warm boots, extra socks, snow pants and jacket, extra layers, gloves, toque, sunglasses, camera, snack and water. I am legally required to provide you with an opportunity to review, and agree to sign, my Waiver and optional Medical Form before any tour can be confirmed. Please message me regarding your specific request.
From our meeting point we will travel to the trail head and gear up for our adventure. Please provide your own outer layers including waterproof boots, jacket, pants and gloves as well as a hat, extra layers and sunglasses. Necessary equipment such as crampons (micro spikes), snowshoes and trekking poles will be provided as needed. On the journey you select we may see some rare and easily missed ancient native pictographs, beautiful rock and ice formations and maybe a few ice climbers as well as snow covered peaks and animal tracks. Actual hiking time, excluding drive time, is between 2 - 6 hours depending on the location we choose. We will have lunch during the hike. Please bring your own lunch, drinks and snacks or consult with me before booking for a fully catered excursion.
