I am a husband and a father who left my managerial position in retail to pursue tour guiding. Growing up I enjoyed the outdoors, exploring and found the little things fascinating, I believe these are major contributing factors to my work today. Whenever I could I would take drives around Botswana to places I had never been to, or move from location to location aimlessly looking for a new adventure and surely enough there was always something worth finding, and new experiences worth having. During my journeys I learned that there my country has so much character that is worth exploring and there is often to need to travel too far to find something unique. Whenever I get the chance I take my wife and kids on short drives around where we live in search for something different, and through talking to the villagers we always take with us a memorable experience. Interacting with new people, imparting knowledge and talking about my country are things I have always enjoyed, seeing this, my wife pushed me into trying out tour guiding in Gaborone. Mind you this has very few people doing it south of Botswana as there is only nature guiding that is dominant north of the country. I decided to give historical and cultural guiding a try, and there was no turning back. Botswana has a rich history and it gives me great pride and pleasure sharing it. Taking international clients on day trips around Gaborone and more has been a thrilling adventure that I look forward to each tour, mostly because they get to see Botswana through the eyes of a local. I can build customised itineraries around a client's wish list and schedule incorporating these into their chosen tour of interest. Furthermore I can combine my different tours for a full experience of what will be a touch of Botswana. I am licensed by the Botswana tourism board to conduct tours around the country.

Explore the ever-growing city of Gaborone. A fusion of Tswana and African culture mixed with a Western feel. From her humble beginnings as a train stop, she has grown into Botswana's diamond city. She hosts her first mall - Main Mall in the heart of downtown, which hosts dozens of vendors trading in cultural souvenirs, and not to mention the ever-popular Mma Ramotswe Tea Corner. The Old Magistrates court in The Village has been turned into an art gallery for the young and upcoming artists, where also an old dugout fort, used during colonial times, can be found. You can request a custom tour for more people.
The itinerary will be the following: > Three Dikgosi Monument > Main mall > University of Botswana > The Village - the beginnings of Gaborone. Established in 1890 and for some time serving as an administrative centre for the southern part of Bechuanaland Protectorate. Situated in the former magistrate's house (1902), the Thapong Visual Arts Centre is home to Botswana's young, gifted - and sometimes avant-garde - artists. > Old Naledi - the township which keeps the city going Tour can be customized upon request.
