Hello! My name is Sèna. I was born in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin, where I spent all my childhood and adolescence. I will be honored to introduce you to the nature, landscapes, culture and hidden riches of my country. I am a computer scientist by training, I am self-taught and therefore very curious. I love music, biking and I love making new friends from around the world. I started guiding on the sites of Southern Benin in 2013. I started with one or two days trips and few months later I started guiding multi-day tours across the country. Over time, I developed some tours including bicycle tours to discover Benin in a unique way. Discover Cotonou, Benin's biggest city and the country's economic heart; Explore the history of slavery; Take a boat to the floating market in Ganvié, the on-lake village; Get off the main roads for a bicycle tour in the nature; Discover the life of lake populations; taste our local meals cooked by the villagers. All the tours are customizable with the possibility of doing them by private vehicle, public transport or bicycle and I can do the tours in English as well as in French. From Cotonou, we drive 40 min to Porto-Novo. Called Porto-Novo by Portugese, Adjatchè by the Yoruba ethnic group and Hogbonou by the Goun ethnic group, this city is a mosaic of culture. We start our tour by the king palace museum where we will learn about the kingdom and its organisation, the life of the king and also the way he manage his kingdom. Second step, "Bayol place" where is standing the statue of the last king of this kingdom. During this tour, we will meet people from different ethnic groups and will see their activities. Let's visit the central market and different products sold here. Next to the market is a special building, unique in West Africa: a mosque built according to a church design. On our way, we will see two vodoun monuments and will learn a bit about vodoun. Our tour ends in the garden of plants and nature where we will see different plants and their uses.

He is highly organized and accommodating to the client's needs and was able to adjust plans on the fly given my wandering nature. The tour was so inspiring that it sparked a great motivation in me to learn more about the subject matter. Moreover, Sena even introduced me to a new hobby of birdwatching. His professionalism and friendly demeanor made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
A great excursion! The guide was very kindly, explained the visit with a great dates, he made me feel great, understanding everything I saw. He provide me with a bottle of water which was very helpful with the heat and took me to a very nice restaurant to finish the tour. The new car very confortable.
