A giant leap away from the corporate world was a milestone for me to venture into the world of outdoor education and appreciating the creation of Mother Nature. On my career break, I took a six-month holiday travelling in the North and South Islands of New Zealand where I went tramping on the hills, watching wildlife, doing seasonal jobs and working on a farm. Eventually, that career break had led me to this beautiful island of Langkawi. An irresistible opportunity knocked onto my door as I embarked on my brand new discoveries in the field of outdoor education where I was an outdoor trainer facilitating the youth on courses related to personal development, nature and environment. From there, I pursued fully into nature guiding career beginning with the Four Seasons Resort Langkawi before establishing as an independent freelance guide. With only 478 square kilometre, Langkawi Island is gifted with natural wonders of geological features, biodiversity and as well as cultural heritage that has made her the first UNESCO Global Geopark in South-East Asia. I open the eyes of my listeners by guiding them into the details of the natural wonders. My speciality lies in birdwatching, nature interpretive tours whether it is kayaking or on a relaxing boat cruise. My personal belief on the initial step in preserving our natural heritage is through discovering nature and understanding the complexity in the web of life that interconnects all living creatures. On my own free time, I would explore some parts of Langkawi and photograph the surrounding flora and fauna. With the images through my camera lens, I will study and blog about the subject and at the same time, I can promote Langkawi's nature.
