Ten years ago, I took a leap of faith that would rewrite my life’s story. I arrived in Japan entirely alone, having never visited before, equipped with only foundational language skills but possessed by a profound curiosity. Choosing complete immersion over comfort, I navigated everyday life entirely in my broken Japanese, bypassing English-language safety nets to truly absorb the rhythm, nuances, and soul of my new home. ​Today, I am not only a licensed kimono teacher and cultural lecturer—holding prestigious credentials from the Hakubi Kyoto Kimono School and the Kyoto Kimono Art Culture Association—but I've also built a beautiful family and a deeply rooted life here. My decades-long journey of cultural devotion is further enriched by my practice within the Urasenke tea ceremony tradition. ​This profound, lived understanding of Japanese aesthetics seamlessly fuels my other work as a screen actor and model. Whether bringing an authentic, disciplined presence to cinematic roles—such as my appearance in the political drama The Silent Service—or guiding guests through the serene, historic landscapes of Kamakura on my high-end cultural experiences, my work is backed by a decade of genuine immersion. ​For me, Japan is not just a subject of study; it is where I braved the unknown, raised a family, and mastered the arts to now proudly share with the world.
