Matilda was the perfect host for Lautoka and Nadi. Pre trip communication was excellent as was port pick up. We wanted to purchase some Blue Turtle Gin. She even did recon in advance and found a store that had some. Not always easy to find. We got the last 2 bottles at Prouds. Saturday trip to Lautoka market was a highlight. Matilda gave us the opportunity to do something very different and rewarding - she took us to Saint Christopher's orphanage. This was pre-arranged so we brought supplies to donate and then a tour of the place. They do wonderful work and she helped us participate. Matilda is such a lovely guide. Very knowledgeable about local history. She adapted the tour so we didn't coincide with the cruise tour groups which meant we didn't have to deal with crowds.
