Hi my name is Sarka. I am 49 I have worked as a tour guide for over 19 years. I am a member of the Cesky Krumlov guide association. I'm a private tour guide and I offer personal walking tours of Cesky Krumlov. I was born in this beautiful medieval town and I have lived here all my life. I learnt English while living with an American family for few years. I am friendly, very outgoing and totally professional. Apart from knowing my local history, I know interesting and funny stories about local historical figures. Since I have lived here all my life and my family as well I can illustrate life in the Czech Republic 'back then' and today from my perspective. I love sharing my knowledge with others. Some of my stories come from my grandfather who was born here before World War II. Cesky Krumlov is a uniquely preserved town with original houses dating back to medieval times, with currently restored Renaissance and Baroque facades. I believe Cesky Krumlov old town features the highest density of original authentic historical buildings easily reachable with walking distance. You can admire not only the second largest castle in the Czech Republic, but also dramatic scenery of the Vltava River zigzagging through the old town and the castle area. You are going to walk on beautiful cobblestone streets. You don't need any car since you can reach all places on foot. The town is rather small so I can pick you up at the lobby of your hotel and we are going to walk all around the historical town centre and through the courtyard of the castle.
