I'm Guwen, a native Hmong-language speaker born and raised in Guizhou, China. My journey with Guizhou's ethnic-minority cultures began early. After graduating from university, I spent 3 years with an international NGO, travelling deep into remote mountain villages across the province. I lived alongside local communities, listening to their stories and learning about their traditions first-hand. These years of fieldwork gave me rare, insider knowledge of Guizhou's hidden corners, I later earned my official tour-guide licence, and have worked as a professional local guide for 15 years.
