Born and bred in Buenos Aires 50 years ago, I grew up between Buenos Aires City and Tigre Delta (where my family run a farm). I had a lovely childhood, listening and dancing "Tango" when I was in the city, and stories about "gauchos" when I was at the farm. In my adolescence I discovered my passion for the mountains and I was a climber for a long time. Taking into account this background…what else could be more than a Tour guide (which brought me many problems with my father who wanted a Lawyer son :) :). I love traveling, I'm a seasoned traveler (I've traveled to more than 40 countries), which allows me to understand your expectations and to organize the best time for you, because I'm on both sides (Traveler and Tour Guide). I have been working as a Tour Guide for 25 years, I know very well not only every hidden place of the city but also the "idiosyncrasy" of my people and I would like to share all my knowledge with you, introducing you to our history and culture, telling you amazing stories (such as how the Criminal Nazi, Adolf Eichmann was found and caught in Buenos Aires, or why Evita Peron's corps is embalmed). Located only 35 km/21 miles from Buenos Aires downtown, Tigre Delta is one of the largest deltas in the world. Formed for more than 5000 islands inhabited by a water community, where you can discover a different face of our country. I grew up in this area (actually I have a farm on one of the islands) and I know every single river! I learned how to ride a boat when I was 8 years old!. I pick you up at your hotel or cruise terminal by private car (or van, depending on the size of your group) and we drive for 40 minutes yp to Tigre City, the gateway for a trip to Tigre Delta! Once in Tigre City, we get my own motorboat. No way to visit the Delta by car (no bridges or routs), everything is by boat, you will see "supermarket boats", "Ice Cream Boat" and many funny things! The boat is open, sun protection is suggested (you can see the pictures of my boat, but I can rent a bigger one upon request). I can customize the tour for larger groups, please ask me info by message.
Our guide picked us up and showed us a part of Buenos Aires u do not expect. It was very lovely. U would not believe this is BA too. Andres has lots of information to give u and lots of history to tell u. His private boat is excellent for the occasion. We managed to eat in a beautiful restaurant where only locals eat so we felt privileged. It was a wonderful day ! Highly recommended.

Andres took us on an amazing tour of the Tigre Delta. The Tigre Delta is only accessed by boat and he grew up there. So, Andres was the perfect guide to have for this trip. He used a boat captain so that he was free to explain the history of this beautiful delta and how life is different for the people that call it home. Andres also took us to the town historical town of San Isidro for a stop to see the beautiful cathedral along the way. It was a lovely day away from the city.
Andres took us on an enjoyable boat ride. Friendly and knowledgeable; highly recommended.
Andres performed a very well organized tour through the Tigre Delta. As he operates his own boat he has given us all the flexibility to see special places and corners people usually do not see. All circumstances had been a perfect fit. No doubt, we would do it again.
